Welcome to Charity Marketing. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services and website. By engaging with us or using our services, you agree to these terms.
1. Who We Are
Charity Marketing is a UK-based business providing marketing services for charities, including but not limited to:
Branding and visual identity
Website design, development, and support
Social media management
Email newsletters and automation
2. Services and Scope
We offer both one-off and ongoing services. The details of your project or service arrangement will be agreed in writing (usually by email or proposal document) prior to work starting.
3. Payment Terms
One-off Services
Payment for one-off services (e.g. branding projects, standalone website builds, or a one-time newsletter setup) will be invoiced as agreed. A deposit may be required to begin work, with the remaining balance due upon completion or at agreed milestones.
Ongoing Services
Some services (such as website support, hosting, or monthly social media/newsletter management) are offered on a recurring monthly basis. This will be clearly outlined in your proposal or agreement.
Payments are due monthly in advance, usually via standing order or direct debit.
You can cancel any ongoing monthly service at any time by giving notice in writing (email is sufficient).
However, please note that cancelling ongoing website-related payments may result in essential software licenses or hosting being deactivated, which will likely cause your website to malfunction or become unavailable.
4. Website Hosting and Support
Where we provide ongoing website support, this typically includes:
Security updates
Theme and plugin maintenance
Minor content changes (e.g. image or text updates)
This support is only available while monthly payments are active. If payments are cancelled:
Any premium tools, plugins, or hosting that rely on ongoing payment will no longer function.
We are not responsible for website errors, downtime, or loss of functionality following cancellation of services.
If you’d like to move your website to your own hosting or maintain it independently, we’ll be happy to help with the transition and explain any associated costs or risks.
5. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed, Charity Marketing retains the right to display completed work in our portfolio or promotional materials.
Once full payment has been received for a project, the client will own the rights to use the final deliverables (e.g. logos, website content, images, designs) for their intended purpose.
Licences for fonts, images, plugins or software remain subject to the terms of the original providers and may be non-transferable.
6. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
Providing timely access to materials, logins, or feedback
Ensuring the accuracy of all content supplied
Making payment as agreed
Charity Marketing cannot be held responsible for delays caused by a lack of input or delayed approvals.
7. Limitation of Liability
We aim to deliver services to a high standard, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or flawless performance of websites or digital tools, particularly where third-party services are involved.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Charity Marketing shall not be liable for any loss or damage (including loss of data, revenue, or goodwill) resulting from:
Service interruptions
Software failures
Client misuse
Delays outside of our control
8. Amendments and Updates
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be published on our website. Continued use of our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
